Before we left for Hawaii I was in design lock down here at the studio. I had to finish designing 21 ads for Phoenix Bride & Groom Magazine clients and it was deadline crunch!! Here are just a few to check out and I will post more later on. They will be in the upcoming summer issue of
Phoenix Bride & Groom Magazine. Check it out early June at newsstands around the valley.

This wedding was so simple & stunning...below are a few of my favorites from the album.

Company: Leather Craftsmen 3500 Print/Bind
I've been meaning to post this.
Here are some images from one of Leather Craftsmen's gorgeous albums. This was an album for Julie Harris Photography that was 48 pages. I've had questions regarding thickness in albums....In some of the images you can see the difference in thickness between
Leather Craftsmen &
Graphi's. The Leather Craftsmen album is the thick one in the middle of the four shown. I think both album companies offer gorgeous binding options.

My #2 turns TWO today! Thor Butler has been the best addition to this studio! Two years ago today I was charting new waters and completely stepping out of my comfort zone and mister THOR BUTLER was born. I knew I was in need of a sidekick with all of these life changes so Dad and I went hunting for a puppy as we were just about to put my 14 year old childhood dog to sleep in a few days. We stumbled upon a farm that was selling Cavalier King Charles/Cocker mixes (which is VERY rare to find) and we had to go check him out.
The minute I walked up and saw his cute LITTLE paws sprawled out in 'froggy' position on the cool cement patio my Dad and I were totally smitten. He was so tiny and knew we would not be making it off that property empty handed. We left 10 minutes later with Thor in hand (literally one hand he was that small) and headed home. It's been a roller coaster of cuteness from that point on.
He has such a hilarious personality and rocks a good mohawk. He loves interacting with people more then dogs...and he has definitely made me a softy. Off to the pet store for a new toy. Happy Birthday Thor Butler.

When in Bisbee we visited our friends Jen & Justin...like I said in the previous post they are the new owners of The Shady Dell. Ahhh how to explain
The Shady Dell...it can only be summed up into one word UNBELIEVABLE!

You are literally taken back in time to the 1950's when you walk through the lot full of restored vintage aluminum travel trailers, AirStreams, Spartanettes, a Yacht (truly a real antique yacht) and my favorite 1947 Airporter tour bus!!!

It's seriously a dream come true for vintage lovers because these trailers have been refurbished with all vintage cloth, bedding, dishware, accessories and even black and white tv's. There is 50's music playing at their gazebo and a diner to truly transform your experience out of the twenty first century. Jen & Justin are in the process of remodeling, refurbishing more trailers and possibly adding an old school outdoor drive up movie theater.
This is also a great venue for small 1950's themed weddings...make sure you
email Jen for more information.

The Shady Delll.....you ask where is Bisbee, AZ. Well it is 1 hour south of Tucson and is a cute little artsy old mining town. Brian & I wanted to get away from the 'city' and explore southern Arizona for a weekend so we drove down to see what it was all about. We were lucky to book a room last minute at a fabulous B&B right on the main street in Bisbee:
Letson Loft Hotel It has more charm then most Inn's or B&B's I've stayed at---gives off a very luxurious feel with pillow top mattress and antique details. All of the rooms have character but what sold me on ours was the skylight (room 5).

We poked around after check in to admire the old buildings and rummage through some of the antique stores. Justin & Jen had a great recommendation for dinner and we ate a gourmet 4 course meal at
Cafe Roka.It was such a relief to be an actual tourist for once. I normally never take part in the typical tourist attractions, but when traveling with Brian I must put my judgements aside and go along for the ride. So that is exactly what I did all weekend long...we walked the small sloped roads to learn about the old buildings, mining history and ghost stories. We met a quirky local that was the organist at the church who played for us and told us her personal ghost encounter! Brian was eating it all up. We wanted to take the ghost tour that night but it was unfortunately not going on. Instead we hit up the local watering hole Stock Exchange Bar, for $3 beers. That is right THREE DOLLARS for a beer and entertainment from the local karaoke. The next day we went along for the ride (literally on small mining cars) on the Bisbee Mining Tour...it was AWESOME! Take a look at the photos below:

Bisbee is filled with textured walls, colorful doors, and great stairwells. Any photographers that need a creative getaway--go to BISBEE!!!! Your creative juices will be on overload.
