I made the best decision to make my San Fran trip longer then a weekend. I've been crashing at Jade/Jared's place in SF and loving every minute of my life here. I'm like the little sister that doesn't want to leave. I came home from my trip exhausted but filled with so much hope and new energy. It was a perfect turning point in my life :) One of those aha moments!!

I have some great shots from walking around the city but my favorites are from the
Ten out of Tenn Concert at The Independent. It was such an intimate concert with uber talented musicians. I brought my 50mm along for the musical ride and captured a few fun shots.
A few of my favorite songs:
1. "The Guy That Says Goodbye" by Griffin House
2. "Sweeter Than This" by Katie Herzig
3. "Just one day" by Jeremy Lister
4. "Dark Hotel" by KS Rhoads
5. "Soapbox Shakedown" by Tyler James
6. "Feels LIke Letting Go" by Matthew Perryman James
7. "Believable Doubt" by Andy Davis
8. "I Can't Make Me" by Butterfly Boucher
9. "Shine" by Trent Dabbs
10. "Pony (It's OK) by Erin McCarley

Top of the morning to you:
I love being Irish....my mother's side is all Irish (and part german) but Shaun and I just say we are 50% Irish. We both have Irish names with gaelic meanings and share our mother's maiden name which used to be O'Gorman. I mean how much more Irish can we get!!! I love the simplicity of the Irish country lifestyle...the smiling Irish faces....and the unbelievable hospitality! We have traveled to Ireland since I was very young and one summer while traveling with our best friends we took a lighting class in the countyside of Ireland. I think I was about 15 or 16 years old and from that moment I realized I had to incorporate photography into my everyday life. I thought it fitting to post some recent shots of Ireland from my trip this past summer for Richie/Melissa's wedding.
Enjoy

It was 5:15am on Monday February 23. I awoke to a text message from Jason letting me know they had been in the hospital since 1am but the doctor thought the wait would lead into the afternoon before miss Avery graced us with her presence in this world. I tried to contain my excitement but just sat up in bed waiting for more texts with important information from Jason. I started my morning routine; working and trying to keep my eye on the clock and my cell phone...waiting in anticipation until I received the final text from Jason to get to the hospital.
I arrived at the hospital with large camera bag in hand...almost tripping over my feet trying to get to Jen's room fast enough. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life... I was able to capture Avery on her birthday and I was filled with so much love holding her little fingers in mine. I gave mamma jen a rest and rocked Avery to sleep....my heart has never been filled with so much love.
Thanks to mamma jen and daddy jason for allowing me in on so many intimate and important moments of Avery's first day on this earth.
Enjoy

Sunset
Wednesday, March 04, 2009
This was the sunset outside my studio this evening. And THIS is why I moved home to Arizona. And the 85 degree weather in March isn't something I will complain about.
Enjoy
